BassLine, a local favorite, brought their fun and energetic personality to the stage as they sang the favorites you’ve come to enjoy, as well as delighting the audience with a few new songs. Old Standards, a St Joseph and Kansas City-based quartet was recently crowned the Central States District Seniors Quartet Champion. Having formed in the fall of 2014, this quartet set toes to tapping while listening to their sweet sounds.
2 Award Winning Choruses will take the stage and the resonant sound of men’s voices coming together in harmony rang beautiful chords throughout Cathedral St Joseph. The concert sounded as though heaven opened up and a heavenly choir was the featured performers of the evening. Central Standard, an a Capella ensemble from Kansas City, among the very elite and soon to compete in the Barbershop Harmony Society’s International competition in July where they currently rank 4th in the world performed to their expected level of excellence, performing a variety of a Capella styles of music which included their contest set for the international competition. The second of the award winning choruses taking the stage was St Joseph’s own Voices of America chorus. Coming off their recent division win in the Central States District Spring Contest the Voices of America brought all new music to enjoy to this incredible concert including songs by the Beatles, Elvis Presley, Beach Boys and James Taylor.
